ANSI/BRCGS (BRC) Food Safety Certified
Meeting a global standard for food safety with an A grade performance level. A BRC certification is a global food safety standard that ensures food products are safe during handling and processing and that a processing facility meets the BRCGS quality standards. This includes grinding, mixing, extruding, rack loading, cooking of proteins such as beef, chicken, fish, turkey, pork, lamb, and duck, and hand-packed or auto-packed in premade bags. We also have the capacity to process shelf stable and refrigerated pet foods in multiple protein profiles, all combined under the BRCGS umbrella of controls and standards.
MSC (Marine Sustainable Seafood) Certified
The Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) is a global nonprofit organization that works to end overfishing around the world. Working collaboratively with scientists, fisheries, industry experts, and manufacturers via audit reviews, the MSC goals are to improve the way commercial fishing harvests fish by meeting MSC fishery standards and maintaining a transparent chain of custody.
GMP - Good Manufacturing Practices
The Beef Jerky Factory Team follows industry standards, which are regulations and guidelines designed to ensure that food products are consistently produced and controlled according to global quality standards. These GMP practices ensure that food safety and quality are met, preventing any forms of contamination and complying with regulatory requirements. GMPs cover various aspects of food production, including sanitation, hygiene, ingredient/protein controls, facility, personnel and documentation protocols. All designed to make quality products that are safe for consumption as established by governing bodies such as the FDA, AAFCO, and the USDA.

BJF does originate some of the best ingredients from around the world, but all processing and production including packaging and distribution is completed in our US plant with primary production location being in Sunny Southern California.
